چکیده

Abstract This article reports the effects of friction on flow stress-strain curve obtained from uniaxial compression test. Uniaxial test was done at deformation temperature range 575 °C–650 °C and strain rates 0.001 s −1 , 0.01 0.1 0.5 to a 0.6 using Gleeble ® 3500 thermo-mechanical simulator. The parameter calculated by analytical equation literature. study results. results showed variation between measured corrected curves. stress increased with an increase in strain. result shows resulting contact die workpiece during deformation. has shown that equations used for hot are applicable analysing warm

PRODUCTION PROCESS Evaluation of friction in upsetting

Distributions of contact stresses at the neutral point in metal forming are very hard to be properly predicted due to the complex interface situation and lack of suitable friction models. In this paper, the dynamic friction model in which the friction depends on both time rate of strain and normal pressure has been applied to predict contact stresses in cylinder upsetting. Case studies have sho...

A New Technique based on Strain Energy for Correction of Stress-strain Curve

Tensile stress-strain curve is of high importance in mechanics of materials particularly in numerical simulations of material deformations. The curve is usually obtained by experiment but is limited by necking phenomenon. Engineering stress-strain curve is converted to true stress-strain curve through simple formulas. The conversion, however, is correct up the point of necking. From this point ...

Empirical Modeling of the Stress-strain Relationship for an Upsetting Process under Direct Electrical Current

Present research involving ElectricallyAssisted Manufacturing (EAM) has shown the advantageous effects that an applied current flux provides on the mechanical properties with respect to part formation. Overall general results using this process include the reduction of the flow stress during forming, increased achievable deformation, and a decrease or elimination of springback. Specifically tar...

the effects of changing roughness on the flow structure in the bends

flow in natural river bends is a complex and turbulent phenomenon which affects the scour and sedimentations and causes an irregular bed topography on the bed. for the reason, the flow hydralics and the parameters which affect the flow to be studied and understand. in this study the effect of bed and wall roughness using the software fluent discussed in a sharp 90-degree flume bend with 40.3cm ...

Characteristic Points of Stress-Strain Curve at High Temperature

Determination of critical points on hot stress-strain curve of metals is crucial in thermo-mechanical processes design. In this investigation a mathematical modeling is given to illustrate the behavior of metal during hot deformation processes such as hot rolling. The critical strain for the onset of dynamic recrystallization has been obtained as a function of strain at the maximum stress. In a...
